Henry Bright
1810 - 1873

A pupil of Alfred Stannard he is also thought to have taken lessons from John Berney Crome and John Sell Cotman. He worked in oil, watercolour and extensively in coloured chalk. He lived for 20 years in London and taught many members of the aristocracy. One of the few Norwich School painters to have made a great deal of money from his work and to have lived, and died, a wealthy man.
